The original Kitchen dependency built ca. 1720 features a large hearth fireplace, Queen-size cannonball bed, and double Jacuzzi in the modern bathroom. It also has a small deck perfect for al fresco breakfast with pastoral views. The B&B rate for this cottage is $295 per night with four course prie-fixe dinner usually available by reservation at $49 per person.

The Summer Kitchen was where all the cooking was done for the plantation from the 1720's to the early 1900's when the manor house was enlarged with the current kitchen.  The family still used the original kitchen in the summer (thus the current name) until the 1930's when guests began dwindling during the Depression in order to cut down on the heat produced by the wood stove. This cottage still has a trap door leading up to the cooks' attic lodgings.
