What a wonderful, historical place to stay. The service, staff and food are excellent. Beautiful setting on 42 acres in the Blue Ridge foothills. We stayed two nights and can't wait to come back! I highly recommend Prospect Hill if you are looking for the perfect getaway.  From booking through checkout, the experience was flawless.  T and Jim are incredible hosts, with focus on every detail to create a relaxing and romantic environment. Prospect Inn was the perfect place for a nice, quiet getaway away. We stayed in the summer cottage which was so warm, inviting, and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Truly magical experience! The property is so charming and relaxing, my mom and daughter did not want to leave. T and Jim are the consummate hosts - friendly, attentive, and genuine. We had another wonderful stay at Prospect Hill. We love staying here. I would give 10 stars.

This was our 6th or 7th time at Prospect Hill. We absolutely love staying there. Jim and T are wonderful. We always travel with our dogs and the inn is very pet friendly. Breakfast delivered to our cottage was delicious. The atmosphere wonderful. It's a very romantic getaway. We always feel so relaxed when there. A 5* experience.

Another wonderful trip. We stayed 8/31 till 9/4/25. Everything was wonderful as always. Already planning our next trip

We stayed 9/6 - 9/10/26. We absolutely love Prospect Hill. Always have a great stay. T and Jim are great hosts, breakfast was amazing as always.

Absolutely beautiful and picturesque property. We especially loved discovering the little wildflower patch—it felt like our own hidden gem. We were ready to check out after breakfast, but after sitting outside and enjoying the peaceful surroundings, we decided to stay one more night!

Prospect Hill delivered one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in Virginia. From the moment we arrived, “T” and James welcomed us with the kind of hospitality you rarely find anymore, warm, genuine, and clearly rooted in pride for both the property and the guests who pass through it.

The grounds have a peacefulness that stays with you long after you leave. Early mornings walking the paths, you can feel the history in the trees, the quiet corners of the estate, and the thoughtful care that keeps this place so beautifully preserved. Our room was cozy and inviting, prepared with attention to detail and that perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort.

Breakfast was exceptional, fresh, beautifully prepared, and served with the kind of kindness that makes you feel like family. Every interaction, whether with “T” or the rest of the team, reinforced the same impression: these are people who care deeply about what they do, and it shows in every part of the experience.
