Charlottesville Pet-Friendly Bed & Breakfast
Bring Your Paw-Pals
Our dogs are special to us, as yours is to you. So we don’t just welcome dogs at Prospect Hill, we embrace them! Well-behaved, house-broken dogs are welcome in four of our cottages. Though you’ll generally want to keep your furry friend on a leash, you’ll have 40 acres of gorgeous grounds to explore… so bring your walking shoes! “Rocky”, “Ruby” and “Collette” are eager to meet you!
We Provide
- Towel
- Food & Water Bowls

Dog-Friendly Cottages
Pet Policy
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but only in four specific cottages (and we must know in advance they’re coming with you).
Dogs are welcome in these Cottages
We prefer you to not leave your dog alone in the cottage while you’re out for the day (even well-behaved dogs can be “destructive” or “loud” in strange surroundings), but if you must… please use a crate.
Generally speaking, your dog must be leashed when outdoors (however, if you’re not near other guests, the parking area, or our large animals… we’re glad to see your dog run freely and exercise)!
We are unable to accommodate a late check-out when you bring your dog, as our housekeepers perform an extra-deep sanitization of your cottage upon departure.
We charge a pet fee of $25 per dog/per night. While we don’t generally collect an extra “pet deposit”, dog owners are liable for any out-of-the-ordinary cleaning bills or repairs, should they be required.
We’ll supply your dog with a towel, food & water bowls and plastic refuse bag; you bring the dog food, leash and crate… please poop-scoop.
We typically refresh guest rooms between 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, but your dog must be with you, be crated, or not in the cottage. If you prefer, put the “Do Not Disturb” sign out, and we’ll skip your cottage.
Sorry, but we’re unable to accommodate any animals other than dogs.
If a dog is not kept under control or unreasonably disturbs other guests, we may ask you to kennel your dog or vacate the premises, with no refund for a shortened stay. Obviously, you are responsible in the event a human or other dog suffers injury (or damage) from your dog.
